Plot summary

Dawn is married with two children, and her best friend Eden is single. On their annual Thanksgiving outing, Dawn goes into labor, and Eden fetches sushi for Dawn and her husband Marty. Turned away by hospital staff, Eden rides the subway home, meets Claude, and the two bond over lost parents and relationship troubles before spending the night together. One month later, Claude has gone quiet, so Eden spends New Year's Eve with Dawn, who is struggling with postpartum and breastfeeding. Drunk and high, Eden envisions herself pregnant, takes test after test that all come back positive, and an ultrasound confirms it. She decides to keep the pregnancy, while Dawn and Marty juggle their firstborn's potty training and the hunt for daycare.
