Plot summary

Steve Dallas presents the weather for the local news channel WRSC, and he relies on his assistant Delia Shepard to prepare the forecasts. His paycheck disappears quickly each month as he persuades women to sleep with him, and the rest of his time he gives to Ben Baker, a friend from childhood who wears a beard and smokes cannabis. Ben bursts into the station with news that his father has died, and Steve drives him to the funeral, though they arrive late because Ben stops to rescue crayfish that were destined to be bait. Ben's stepmother Angela, a special education teacher who married his father five years ago, welcomes him. At the reading of the will Angela receives nothing, as she wished, Ben's sister gets $350,000, and Ben inherits the general store, the family farm and $2,000,000.
