Plot summary
In Dublin, Bobo keeps performing his hospital clown act for children even though he has been fired from it. Funzo, a street clown who terrifies the children she meets, clashes with two living statues, and the mime artist Pepe is ridiculed by his idol, Jean DuCoque, after a performance. When DuCoque dies, Jenny Malone, a writer at a clickbait outlet, is sent to cover the funeral in Naherbawn, where her colleagues have mocked her over a one-night stand with Bobo. At the funeral, Jenny turns down Bobo, The Great Alphonso announces a television comeback, and Funzo and the statues come to blows. The guests are jailed, and a solar flare then cuts power across Ireland.

- David Earl, who plays the clown Bobo, caught COVID-19 while Apocalypse Clown was shooting, so a body double was used for his circus scenes.
