Plot summary
Jake Bryant loses his wife and children in a terrible car accident. Cooper, a dog, is the only survivor of the crash. Jake is not a dog person, and he vents his anger and resentment on Cooper for living. The grieving man and the stray dog are left together, and a bond grows between them that gives Jake some solace.
