An Amish Murder (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Painter's Mill, Ohio, is an Amish farming community. Years ago a series of brutal murders shattered it, and Kate Burkholder, then a young Amish girl, survived and left that life behind. Fifteen years later she returns as the town's chief of police, believing she has made peace with her past. A fresh murder investigation draws her back into the community she abandoned and stirs memories she thought were settled. The case also threatens to expose a hidden part of her history, one that could destroy the life she has built. Kate faces the people and the upbringing she walked away from while she works to solve the killing.
