American Badger (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Badger earned the nickname from his ex-wife before she died, and in the years since he has been a recluse, speaking to almost no one but his Handler. He is a hitman who follows orders well and makes friends badly. His latest job sends him to Velvet, a call girl who works for an Albanian gang and who is the closest thing its boss, Vasily, has to family, an abused and terrified young woman who has been trafficked. What his Handler wants from her is knowledge of how the gang runs. Badger objects to the assignment, then carries it out, finding Velvet and making an awkward introduction.
