Plot summary
Best friends Matt and Allan work as a comedy duo, with Matt making his living as an honest mechanic and Allan as a dog who talks. They perform at Uncle Henry's, a Hollywood club that has seen better days, and both of them want a big break in the business. Offstage the two are family to each other, and the act rests on the pair of them, a man and a dog with a voice. That big break has not come yet, and the arrangement has suited both of them. Ellie arrives as Allan's new dog walker, and Matt and Allan each fall for her.
