Plot summary
Tessa Young moves into her dorm room for her first year of college with help from her mother Carol and her boyfriend Noah Porter. There she meets her roommate Steph Jones and Steph's girlfriend Tristan, then crosses paths with Steph's friend Hardin Scott. Steph talks her into a party, where she meets Zed Evans, Molly Samuels and Jace, and a game of truth or dare turns on her refusal to kiss Hardin. He tries again later and she walks away. A classmate, Landon Gibson, tells her that he and Hardin are about to become stepbrothers. Hardin invites Tessa to a lake, kisses her there, and tells her they cannot stay only friends.
