About Cherry (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Angelina is eighteen and close to finishing high school. She lives with an alcoholic mother and a menacing stepfather, and her boyfriend Bobby suggests she photograph herself naked and sell the pictures. She hesitates, then does it, and the money takes her and her best friend Andrew to San Francisco. They take a room in Paco's apartment. Angelina takes work at a strip club, and Andrew finds a place in a bookstore. At a party there she meets Frances, a wealthy lawyer who offers expensive dresses and lavish parties, and Margaret, a former porn star who now directs adult films and offers to guide Angelina's entry into that industry as Cherry.
