About Alex (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Alex fills a bathtub at his family's old home, posts a tweet, and cuts his wrists. When word reaches the friends he left behind, they come to the country house where he stays: Ben and Siri, a married couple weighing a move to Los Angeles; Josh, stalled on his dissertation; Sarah, stuck in a job as an attorney; and Isaac, a San Francisco businessman who brings Kate, a date who works at a suicide hotline. Sarah proposes they watch Alex in shifts; Josh wants them to confront him about the attempt. The house holds one bathroom they can bear to use, since the other is where it happened, and old attractions between the group surface again.
