Plot summary
Paula Considine goes to Los Angeles city hall to ask about her missing sister. The police are not helpful, so she turns to Mark Sitko, a newspaperman who covers crime in the city. He agrees to look into the disappearance with her. Together they follow the few leads they can find, and those leads point them toward a shady detective and a ring that trades in babies on the black market.
