A Score to Settle (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Max, who runs a crime syndicate, asks Frank Carver to take the fall for a killing, offering $450,000 and the assurance that Joey, Frank's son, will be looked after because Frank's wife, Lorraine, has died. The promised six years stretch to nineteen. Frank leaves prison with an insomnia diagnosis that could kill him, and Joey, now a recovering addict who sold his car to clear drug debts, is waiting for him. Frank digs up the buried payment at the old family house and tells Joey he will make up for lost time. Joey is reluctant to spend money that came from blood. Frank checks in to a hotel and, against his doctor's orders, seeks out his old friend Q, who has left the syndicate and now owns a bar.
