Plot summary
Evie Lane stands to inherit her trust fund once she has granted Christmas wishes to the people who rescued her on the night she was born, and she has to find them first. She hires Kyle Newman, a local attorney, to help her track each of them down and to work out quietly what they might want. Her name stays out of it, so none of the recipients learns who is behind the gifts. With Christmas close, the two of them spend their days on the search and on choosing presents, and the heiress and the attorney grow closer. The deadline is Christmas Eve.
