Plot summary
Ana is trying to save up for nursing school, so she accepts a remote post as the personal care worker for Joan, a wealthy woman with early onset dementia. Ana grows close to Joan while she cares for her. She also gets to know Joan's two adult children, Carla and Jason. Carla is Joan's spoiled daughter, and Ana becomes concerned that Carla is trying to murder Joan to get her hands on the inheritance. Ana wants to protect Joan, and Jason, Joan's other adult child, assures her that Carla does not mean any harm. Ana strikes up a romance with him.
