Plot summary
Cisco, a successful middle-aged actor, and Skye, a young painter, stay in their New York City loft on the last day of life on Earth. Scientists and theologians have predicted that solar and cosmic radiation will destroy the ozone layer by 4:44 the next morning. Skye works on a large painting she keeps on the floor, putting on different clothes whenever she adds another layer of paint. News clips show reporters, commentators and celebrities describing what they expect the end to be like. The pair order Vietnamese food and give the delivery boy all of their $400.
