Plot summary
Rod Wright has nothing to fill his days, and Katherine Wright misses her children with Christmas near, though the two tell each other that retirement in Florida suits them. They have made friends with Lisa, a neighbor who shares their fondness for golden retrievers, and their dog Jake has three puppies to play with, Mario, Luigi and Pasquale. On a walk with Lisa, Jake and the puppies take off and interrupt a wedding proposal, and the man proposing is David, a lifelong friend of Lisa's whom she once dated. David is due to be married soon.
