Plot summary
A woman brings her missing father home to Los Angeles. He is Patient Zero, the first case of an infection outbreak that began forty years ago. Elsewhere, a scientist has died with a stolen chemical still in his body. The US military then cremates the body, and the virus it carries is released into the air, unintentionally, over a grimy urban wasteland.
