Plot summary
Noah celebrates her nineteenth birthday at the country home of William Leister. She is about to start an aerospace engineering course at Oxford. Nick, her boyfriend, has joined his father's business, Leister Enterprises. Lion, a friend, asks Nick to race for him so he can raise money to keep his gym in Brixton and propose to Jenna. At Oxford, Noah meets her housemate Briar and a second-year student named Michael. Nick becomes jealous of Michael, while Noah is jealous of Sophia, whose safety technology company enters a partnership with Leister Enterprises. Noah's mother, Ella, learns of the relationship and insists it end. William then gives the couple a choice: separate, or Nick loses his job and Noah loses her tuition funding.
