Yavarum Nalam (2009) on Netflix

Plot summary

Manohar, called Manu, moves his wife Priya, his mother, his sister Divya and his brother Manoj's family into apartment 13B, on the thirteenth floor. Milk curdles or spoils every day, only Manu's face looks blurred and twisted in the photos taken on his phone camera, and the family cannot set up its pooja room despite repeated attempts. The lift works for everyone in the building except him. A blind neighbor's service dog refuses to enter the flat. The women of the house become hooked on a serial, Yavarum Nalam, that plays automatically at one o'clock on channel 13, even when the television is off. In it, a family much like theirs has moved into a new house, and what the serial shows them soon happens to them. Manu alone notices the resemblance.
