Plot summary
Halloween weekend in 2016 finds Jane and Eugene, a Los Angeles couple whose interest in each other has worn down, still sharing a house. They decide to divide the home between them for the holiday, with each taking alternate days there. The arrangement gives Jane days of the house to herself and Eugene the same, and it lets each of them find out what independence might look like. Both are weighing whether to keep the relationship or let it go.
