Plot summary
Charlotte is looking for a spark. She finds one in Adam during a whirlwind night of romance, and before it ends she is picturing a future with him. In the morning he behaves strangely, and when she asks what is wrong he lashes out at her, so she leaves his apartment. Over the days that follow he stops answering, and it looks as though he has ghosted her. Charlotte then learns that Adam is terminally ill. She decides to stay with him for whatever time he has left and to help him spend it in a way that feels meaningful to him.
