Plot summary
Anna James writes the Emma Hart Mysteries, a series of teen crime novels, and she takes a remote farmhouse in England so she can work on the newest one. The place is called Seaview House, and at first it suits her. Then she is not alone in it: Winifred Meeks, who was the lady of the house before her, is an unquiet spirit who still holds sway within its walls. With a deadline pressing on the book, Anna also begins to look into the property's history.
