Plot summary
Jesse Freeman is a US Army Special Forces veteran who knows explosives, and these days he works security at the Odyssey Center, a new arena in Phoenix, Arizona. He has brought his kids to the season opener, where the hometown Falcons face the New York Knights. Partway through the game Alpha, a disgraced counterterrorist, leads a commando team in seizing the building, with Omega as his second. Alpha resents Diana Smart, the arena's billionaire owner, who paid for an inquiry into how his unit abused its power. Smart and Jesse's daughter Mara are among those held, and Jesse joins Gus, the arena janitor, in trying to stop the intruders.
