Weather Girl (2009) on Netflix

Plot summary

At 35, Sylvia Miller is the weather forecaster on a Seattle morning show, where her boyfriend Dale Waters sits at the anchor desk. When she finds out that Dale has been sleeping with his co-anchor Sherry, she calls him out during a live broadcast and resigns. She had shared a home with Dale, so she moves into her younger brother Walt's apartment; Walt's neighbor Byron, a computer programmer, is usually there working. Sylvia cannot find another broadcasting job, and she takes work as a waitress. Her friends arrange a date with Charles, who talks about marriage and the names of their future children; she tells Byron the man was creepy. Byron then offers to be her rebound, with the terms that it stays physical and that Walt is not told.
