Plot summary
In 2055, war, pollution and a ruined atmosphere have left survivors in domed cities. When a meteor strikes Sector B-16 during construction of its dome, a giant alien plant named Pandora takes root, spreading with every rainfall and swallowing more of the city. Pandora also purifies the polluted air, and the scientist Dr. Chan works out how to change its genome so it can keep cleaning the atmosphere without growing further. Tyler and Captain Johnson Cheng of the Air Combat Unit are ordered to locate the plant's pistil and deliver a gene bullet carrying Dr. Chan's virus. Colonel Tam, sent to oversee the mission, holds a fallback plan to bomb Pandora from the air if the team fails.
