Plot summary
Will Radford is a threat assessment expert at the Department of Homeland Security, where a surveillance program is able to monitor everyone on the planet. He uses it to keep watch on his pregnant daughter Faith and his son Dave, and the monitoring has strained his relationship with them. He also helps FBI agents searching for a hacker known as Disruptor. Meteors strike around the world, machines come out of the meteorites and attack people, and Will and his NASA friend Sandra Salas conclude the invasion is alien.

- War of the Worlds swept the 46th Golden Raspberry Awards, winning five of the six categories it was nominated for, including Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Actor.

- Filming on War of the Worlds took just fifteen days start to finish, but post-production then stretched on for a full two years before the film's eventual release.
