Plot summary
Information about a Communist spy ring reaches the authorities: the ring has gotten into the Lakeview Laboratory of Nuclear Physics, an atomic research center in southern California. The fear is that whatever has been taken from the laboratory will be handed to a hostile nation. Someone on the scientific staff is believed to belong to the operation, and the way the formulas are carried out of the building is still unknown. Dan O'Hara, an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Philip Grayson, a Scotland Yard detective, are put on the case together. They set out to identify the person inside the laboratory and to trace the route the secrets take.
