Plot summary
A decade after the Honey Island Massacre, Andrew Yong remains its only survivor and has a memoir to promote. His ex-wife Sabrina hosts him on her talk show, where insinuations surface that he might have been the Bayou Butcher, though he was exonerated. Publicist Kathleen then books him for a true crime series whose producers insist the interview be recorded at Honey Island Swamp. Andrew refuses until money enters the deal, and boards a private plane with Kathleen and Sabrina's crew. In the swamp, Chloe, her boyfriend Alex and their friend Rose take a tour from Dillon while Rose pulls up online clips of the voodoo curse, and Chloe is shooting a mock trailer for a Victor Crowley movie. The plane's engine explodes.
