Plot summary
Found footage anthology: four segments and a frame story set in 1994. In the frame, a SWAT team and cameraman Gary raid a warehouse in a suspected drug bust. A warped voice tells them to trace the signal, televisions show static, and they find a corpse with his eyes gouged out. Holly Marciano and her cameraman Jeff descend into a sewer drain while filming a story about the Rat Man and find camps. At a funeral home, Hayley is assigned to host a wake for Andrew Edwards that his family wants recorded overnight as a thunderstorm builds.

- V/H/S/94 became the biggest film premiere ever on the streaming service Shudder, drawing what the article calls "record-setting viewership numbers" until its sequel V/H/S/99 was released on October 20, 2022 and surpassed it.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, producer Josh Goldbloom said the production teams built sets inside hotels and conference rooms, and that in the spirit of the series' punk rock roots they even went underground into a sewer.
- To fake 1990s amateur video, the filmmakers shot at 29.97 frames per second, and director Chloe Okuno's segment "Storm Drain" was shot digitally, converted to tape and played over repeatedly to deliberately degrade the footage.
