Plot summary
Five short horror films sit inside a frame story about Brad, Rox, Zak and Gary, a gang who record their crimes on camera. An anonymous client sends them to an abandoned house to retrieve a single VHS tape. In the television room they find an old man's corpse seated before screens full of static, and in the basement hundreds of unmarked tapes. Unsure which one the client wants, they gather several and watch them in the house. One tape follows three friends who film a motel room with hidden-camera glasses; another follows Sam and Stephanie on a second honeymoon road trip; another follows Joey, Spider, Samantha and Wendy to a lake; another is made of video chats between Emily and James; and another follows four friends who arrive at the wrong address on Halloween night in 1998.

SPOILER
Radio Silence shot a joke alternate ending to the segment "10/31/98" in a single take, in which the car's doors unlock, the friends escape before the train hits it, and the car explodes behind them as they walk away.- The storyline that runs through the whole film was decided on first, and the filmmakers were then left to do their own thing in their own segments, the reverse of how such a movie is usually made.
