Plot summary
Anthony Stowe is a New Orleans narcotics detective who is addicted to heroin and is disliked by nearly everyone around him. He is trying to bring down Gabriel Callahan, his former partner, who has become a drug kingpin and is taking over the city's underworld. A sting against Callahan goes wrong. Chief Mac Baylor speaks bluntly with Stowe about it. Stowe's estranged wife Valerie tells him she is pregnant and that he is not the father.
