Plot summary
The collapse of David Smallbone's music company in Australia, after a concert tour lost $500,000 when tickets did not sell in a weakened economy, sends the family overseas. In 1991 David and his pregnant wife Helen leave Sydney with their six children, Rebecca, Daniel, Ben, Joel, Luke, and Joshua, bound for Nashville, Tennessee. Money is tight in the new country, and the family faces the work of starting over with little besides their suitcases and their shared love of music. Helen's faith does not waver, and David's determination carries the household forward, though his earlier disappointments in the music industry still weigh on him.
