Trailer

Plot summary

Dominic Cummings turns down an offer from Douglas Carswell and Matthew Elliott to run Vote Leave, then accepts when Carswell hands him full control. He builds the campaign around database-driven targeting through social media instead of leaflets, posters and phone calls, and refuses to merge with Nigel Farage and Arron Banks of Leave.EU. Craig Oliver, running the campaign to remain in the European Union, works from traditional focus groups. Both camps court the same undecided third of British voters. Oliver argues jobs and the economy; Cummings answers with loss of control and the prospect of Turkey joining the bloc, and hires Zack Massingham to build a database of voters who lean toward leaving. Cummings' methods cause friction with the campaign's MPs and donors.
