Plot summary
Joy, a sex and love addict, acts on a children's show with her boyfriend, Ben, who does not treat her well. Drugs, alcohol and sex never fill the emptiness she feels. After Ben cancels their plans, she drinks and sleeps with another man; Ben finds pierogies in the refrigerator, the sign of a bender, ends the relationship and tells her to get help. At a sex and love addicts meeting she meets Maddie, who gives Joy her phone number. Ben tells Joy to move out, and she wakes up in a stranger's house full of men. She calls Maddie, who picks her up and agrees to sponsor her if she stays thirty days sober from sex and romance. Maddie suggests a hobby, and Joy starts playing the drum kit of Maddie's brother, Jim.
