Plot summary
The remaining vampire covens are close to being wiped out by the Lycans, and both species are hunting the Death Dealer Selene. The vampires want her punished for Viktor's death, while the Lycans, led by Marius, want her found so that they can locate Eve, whose blood could let them build an army of hybrids. Thomas, a Vampire Elder, pleads her case before the Eastern Coven's council at Semira's request, and the council agrees to a pardon if Selene helps in the war. She arrives with David, Thomas's son, and begins drilling the coven's young Death Dealers for the fighting ahead.
