Plot summary
Jeff and Jane Blue are a married pair of spies for a covert American agency. They are on leave from fieldwork and are in New Orleans with their infant daughter, whose name they still argue over: Louise Jane or Jane Louise. They have decided to leave field assignments behind and settle into family life. A mugger who calls himself Muerte keeps trying to rob them around the city, and they foil him every time. Frank, their old handler, then asks them for one more job. A former Czech Secret Police officer named Novacek has gotten hold of an experimental plastic explosive known as C-22, and the Blues are to get it back and capture him. Meanwhile, a New Orleans police lieutenant named Sawyer keeps trailing them.
