The story opens with a myth: warned by God, Eve still eats the forbidden fruit, and the script ties that act to the beginning of civilization, of religion and trade, of inequality and war. In the present day, Seena works as a habitual pickpocket before rising through dishonest politics and renaming himself Raja Vamana Rao, while around him bogus holy men and spiritual gurus deceive the public. Satya, a selfless man devoted to truth and righteousness, wins a mass following by sharing out money that he and his father Shastri seize from wealthy citizens, which angers Vamana.
