Plot summary
In 1380, monk warriors fail to defeat an alien and the human it possesses. Guard and Thunder, two humanoid robots from the future, extract the alien, and the dying host begs Guard to take her baby; he answers that they cannot interfere in human affairs. Back in the present, Guard finds that Thunder smuggled the infant home, and he raises her as Lee Ahn without telling her who he is. In 2022, Lee Ahn makes her way to Jisan Hospital, where a ship deposits alien prisoners. A second ship arrives, its pilot planning to use Guard's power source to awaken a prisoner called the Controller and release haava that would rouse every prisoner on Earth. In 1391 Goryeo, the bounty hunter Mureuk hunts the mystical Divine Blade.
