Plot summary
Oliver lives with his mother Molly, and the two of them paint. After Molly dies, Oliver has no one left, so he leaves and learns free running by himself, earning the name Twist. Police chase him after he sprays paint on a traffic warden's van, and the chase brings him to Dodge and Batesey. The pair take him to their den near the Truman Brewery, where he meets their carer, Fagin. Twist joins the household, and Fagin plans a theft from the art dealer Dr. Crispin Losberne.
