Plot summary
In their own dimension, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello see televised footage of fighters who resemble them battling the Purple Dragons. The brothers break into the Dragons' headquarters and find that the intruders are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of another dimension, and the two teams leave together. The visitors say that while they fought their Shredder and Krang over mutagen inside the Technodrome, its dimensional teleporter malfunctioned and stranded them in this world. Checking reports of recent tremors, the four brothers and their master Splinter set out to find the Technodrome. Bebop and Rocksteady lead an army of Foot Soldiers against the two teams, and Hun and the Purple Dragons attack the Turtles and Splinter, wanting the mutagen for themselves.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Turtles Forever (2009)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- None of the original voice cast of the 1987 cartoon returned for Turtles Forever because those actors were members of SAG-AFTRA, a union 4Kids did not have a contract with.
- Most of the music from the 1987 series was owned at the time by that show's producer, Fred Wolf Films, and would have required a license fee, so the special used its in-house team to make a soundtrack reminiscent of the original series instead.
