Plot summary
Sarah and Joseph take a desert house for a weekend with another couple. Sarah and Joseph have been together a long time and are grieving a baby. Estelle and Victor are newer; Victor runs the relationship, which Sarah dislikes. The two women reconnect and say they should have kept in touch better. On the second night a woman knocks, saying she is a neighbor who knows the owners and has car trouble. She asks to use the phone. Sarah wants to let her in; Victor objects.
