Plot summary
New York Times reporter Chelsea Brown arrives to profile Andre Allen, a comedian who found fame in the Hammy The Bear movies as a cop in a bear suit and is now a recovering alcoholic. Andre wants his passion project, Uprize, about the Haitian Revolution, to be taken seriously, but a Times critic has panned it and fans keep asking for another Hammy picture. He is also days from a wedding to Erica Long, a reality television star who intends to broadcast the ceremony. Chelsea has forgotten her recorder, so the two set off across New York, and Andre talks about his career and his sobriety.
