Plot summary
Top Cat and his gang run scams in the city, which Officer Dibble tries to prevent. When Top Cat meets Trixie, she finds him amusing but says an alley cat is not her type. Word arrives that the Maharajah of Peekajoo is in the city, and the gang heads to Connity Hall to meet him, crossing paths with an obnoxious man named Lou Strickland. The next morning Dibble is summoned to the station, where Strickland, taking over for the retired chief, has filled the staff with robots he considers more competent. Top Cat blocks Strickland's attempt to evict him, which costs the chief the mayor's funding for his robot police army.
