La Gunguna (2015) on Netflix

Plot summary

In the Caribbean underworld a small .22 caliber pistol changes hands, and each person who takes it believes bad luck comes with it. Around the weapon are arranged a string of characters: people on the margins, moneylenders, gun traffickers, men who play pool and domino for a living, and military men who are corrupt. Each wants something and will deceive or take revenge to get it. Their stories come in episodes that set tension and violence next to dark humor, in a society that reads the pistol as a bad omen, a curse wearing a shiny coat of gold.
