Plot summary
Fawn is an animal fairy in Pixie Hollow. She takes in creatures that other fairies think are dangerous, and Queen Clarion tells her to use her head and her heart. While teaching bunnies to hop, Fawn finds a strange animal in a cave with a thorn stuck in one paw. He is not vicious, and she names him Gruff. Nyx, a scout fairy, reads torn pages of a book and decides the creature is the NeverBeast, a legend that wakes once every thousand years.
