Plot summary
An alien force attacks Earth on October 6, 2022. Captain Michael Raynor serves aboard a military space station and faces the loss of his wife. He gets away before the aliens destroy the station, and a wormhole carries him thirty years into the past. He crash-lands on Earth, goes into hiding and tries to get his bearings. Two scientists find his escape pod and examine its parts, learning that the Indiana electronics company named on them does not exist. The Intelligence and Security Command takes the pod. Raynor reaches the scientists and tells them where he came from. The pair recover a flight recorder and get rid of the pod, and decide to seek out Senator John Neila during his re-election campaign.
