Plot summary
At a large public college, an administrative error places Alex in a dorm room with Eddy and Stuart. The university has taken Alex for a man because of her name, so the three must live together until a room opens in a female residence hall. Eddy is shy and intellectual, Stuart is an All-American jock, and Eddy studies film. Alex falls for Eddy and tries to seduce him, but Eddy is gay and in love with Stuart, while Stuart is in love with Alex. The three become close friends and turn away anyone who tries to seduce one of the others.
