Plot summary
Laura Price is a lawyer in San Francisco, close to a promotion at her firm, and she is engaged to Owen. Her childhood was spent on a tropical island with her best friends Chip Finley and Gem. The firm's most important client is Chip's grandfather, who wants Chip to become his heir, and he asks Laura to go to the island and hand the contract over in person. Laura leaves her practice and her fiancé behind and makes the trip, with one task in front of her: get her childhood friend to sign. The document would make Chip a billionaire.
