Plot summary
Louie still lives in the house where he grew up, remembering his days leading Den 7, the Owl Patrol. As boys they never earned the Arrow of Light, got lost on Mount Whitehead and telephoned their mothers, and the Grunsky brothers, kicked out of the den, bullied them daily. Louie tracks down the other four for a reunion: Belz, who designs fashion, Richard the dentist, Tim the surfing teacher and Franklyn, a therapist with a radio show. The house looks much as they left it, and Louie proposes one more camping trip to conquer the mountain. The Grunskys spot them buying supplies and follow to pull a prank. Duke Earle, escaped from prison with two accomplices, plans to lie low in a cabin on that same mountain, and mistakes the troop for an FBI unit.
