Plot summary
The Wise Little Hen is growing corn so that she and her chicks will have food when winter comes. She asks Donald Duck and his friend Peter Pig to help her plant it, but both claim a belly ache and keep away from the field, since they would rather play than work. The hen and her chicks plant the corn themselves. When the crop is ready, she asks the two of them once more for help bringing it in. Peter Pig and Donald Duck give the same excuse, and the hen and her chicks gather the whole harvest on their own.
